Signs of change…finally!!
And suddenly the strip out is complete!

It’s remarkable what a team of burly builders can accomplish in a few short days.
The building has been transformed. And while there’s still a huge amount to do, it’s easier to see how things might start coming back together.
Now it’s time to start working with the architect in earnest to redefine the space so that he can get on with making the measured drawings. (There’s a chance that the nightmare with the previous owner’s electric company might really end on Monday...) The person who is likely to rent out much of the ground floor is coming on Friday to start planning her space. And minor repairs to a cracked drain are scheduled for next week, too.
I tried to get before and after photos standing in approximately the same location (somewhat less successfully than I’d hoped). At least 8 walls have come down so there aren’t many reference points to go on. Still, you get the general idea. Much improved, don’t you think?!
